Join the Fight to Rebuild Shreveport

As Commissioner, Jim Taliaferro voted against mask mandates, helped deliver tax relief, and stood strong for our 2nd Amendment rights.
As Councilman, Jim voted against the expansion of speed zone cameras, helped deliver multiple pay increases for First Responders, and supported critical upgrades to our water system.

Jim vowed to lean on his law enforcement experience to help SPD turn the tide on crime. Since his election, crime has declined by historic levels and over 3,000 illegally-possessed firearms have been taken off the streets of Shreveport -- saving countless lives. Multiple police substations are being opened -- increasing police presence in high-crime areas.

During Mayor Arceneaux and Councilman Taliaferro's tenure, Shreveport has been the benefactor of hundreds of millions in new investment from deals with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Schlumberger, Prolec GE, and more – breathing hope, opportunity and jobs into our community.

Under Councilman Taliaferro's leadership, valuable city assets like "The Purple Park" in Broadmoor have been revitalized. Jim is a reliable voice for both improving our community and opposing new taxes that would negatively impact our citizens.
